Volunteer Tutors
Tutoring Ministry
Our free tutoring ministry is designed to assist children who need just a little extra help in order to be successful in school. Many of the students who attend speak English as a second language. During the one-hour per week siession, we help students complete homework and develop reading, writing and math skills. An additional goal is to provide an opportunity for area high school students and adults in the community to volunteer their services as tutors. It is a very rewarding experience.
Tutoring sessions are at the church on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm on days that the schools in Wheaton District 200 are in session.
